Tartan Warrior Reborn is now a 3 race weekend with the addition of short course and sprint course options on Saturday, 25th March. British Obstacle Sports has selected these new race distances to act as the Northern National OCR Trials for both the 3K (Age Group) and 100m (Elite). These events will provide the opportunity for athletes to be selected to compete on a European and World stage.
The 3K will include 20+ obstacles and will be run as Age Group National Trials. Each age group will have its own mini-wave start with larger age groups run in a time trial format with six racers per wave. The winner in each age group will automatically be selected to represent Team UK at the FISO OCR World Championships.
The OCR 100m course will have 6-10 obstacles. Each athlete will have two attempts to record their fastest time. The overall winner will automatically be selected to represent Team UK at the FISO OCR World Championships and OCR European Championships.
Becky Neal, Head of OCR at British Obstacle Sports commented: “Tartan Warrior has a wonderful range of obstacles that will be sure to test the best OCR and ninja sport athletes in the country. We are excited to see who can win these events and truly earn automatic selection for the British National Team.”
