From the European Obstacle Sports Federation:

WHAT: 400m and 400m Team Relay. Currently evaluating additional formats.

WHEN: 18th-20th July 2025

WHERE: University of Limerick, Ireland (accommodation will be available on site)

WHY: The 400m is part of World Obstacle formats, and it is time for it to be given the proper chance to shine. A standard course does exist, but it will not be strictly used.

WHY a different location than the ‘regular’ OCREC: We would rather focus on the new format separately, for starters. And give a different country (@ocrireland) the chance to be better known. It would have been difficult to fit everything in the same schedule and prepare all events properly.

MINIMUM age requirements: currently under discussion because of insurance constraints.
