The Limitless Challenge

Now in its second year, the Adaptive Athlete Limitless Challenge brings adaptive athletes from across the British Obstacle Sports adaptive community together in an fun, distance-based points competition across the season.
Race Series Point System
- Athletes must have a classifiable impairment, as defined by the FISO classification system. Adaptive athletes are not separated into different categories for the series, but rather compete together.
- Athletes can complete any licensed event in the UK and score points in the Limitless Challenge.
- All races are scored at one point per advertised and completed kilometre. However, there is a minimum score of five points. In effect, additional “bonus” points are only scored once an athlete has completed a race of six kilometres or more.
- Points are assigned based on the official advertised distance, not the athlete’s tracked distance. For example, a Spartan Beast would score 21 points.
- Points are allocated once evidence is submitted via the required Google Form.
- Points are rounded to the nearest whole number.
- Points must be claimed by the athlete within 14 days of the event, excluding events in December, which must be claimed within 24 hours of the event.
- Athletes must be British Obstacle Sports members within 14 days of the event, excluding events in December, where membership must be held within 24 hours of the event.
Overall Race Series Winners
The winners will be decided by the total amount of points accrued between the 1st of January and 31st of December 2026.
Tie Break Procedure
The tie break procedure will be used to separate the top 3 positions in the series. In the event of a tie, the athlete who has completed the most events will be ranked above those with the same distance.
Race Series Prizes
The top 3 overall (note there is no male and female split) will be awarded at the end of the season.
British Obstacle Sports membership
There is no requirement to be a British Obstacle Sports member to compete in a particular event, unless required by the race organiser. However, athletes must hold an Adult or Under 18 membership to compete in a series and collect points.
Rulebook
All British Obstacle Sports competitions follow the Series and League rulebook. However, where different the rules on this page will prevail.
